LEVEL CHANGE. LONG GARDEN. LIGHT WORK.

DESIGN & BUILD // EPSOM, SURREY

A cluttered and old fashioned garden was proving difficult to maintain for a busy owner.

In search of a multi-purpose garden across 2 levels, a well cultivated design response was required.

RESPONSE

New steps and a sloped patio were introduced to resolve the level changes and create distinct areas for entertainment and family use.

Low maintenance seasonal planting (left) was used to supply colour and interest year round.

RESULTS

The consistent colour in the hard materials helps integrate the shed whilst the angles of the modern paving are contrasted by the long curves of the lawn and bedding.

The finished garden is a simplified family space which will grow into and maintain it’s character without being overly demanding.
